Now I’ve shown you guys some DBZ custom figures before but these ones are pretty amazing:
“NickGreat” has combined two of my favorite things—DBZ and lego, to make an amazing set of toys. The attention to detail is amazing (look how short Krillin is) and I also think it’s pretty crazy how thorough he was.
He also has a cool little mock-up of the Kame House:
You can check out his full collection here.
Props to you, NickGreat, and if anyone else has cool DBZ customs to show us, just post us a comment or shoot an e-mail.

Dragonball Wish
There has been a promotional contest for the Dragon Ball feature film DVD called “Summoning Shenglong Campaign.” A man in his 30s has been selected and his wish is going to be granted.(Source: netajun.net/archives/entertainment/2008/09/14dragonballz-3.html)
The campaign has been going on since last month (August). The wish of the man who has been selected among the more than 12,000 applicants is “I want to see all 17 Dragon Ball feature films in a movie theater by myself.”
His wish will be granted this November in the local movie theater. Since there has been no limitation for the kind of wish he could’ve made, I am a little disappointed by the wish. Anyways, in November, the sky might suddenly become dark so watch out.

I’m definitely upset about how crappy his wish was….

Awesome Custom Goku Figure
A lot of DBZ fans are pretty proud of their collections, but how many of them can say they have figures they built themselves? Customizer Kyle Robinson has made a lot of great figures and has them up on his site. He has stuff from anime, comics, cartoons, and, of course, this awesome Goku:
You can see a couple more views of Goku here, but you might also wanna take a look at his whole site. Also, if you have any of your own custom DBZ figures or art, e-mail me a link or post a comment-- I'm always looking for cool new DBZ stuff.

3 Arrested for Stealing DBZ Vending Machine
The Mamoyama police station in the central Japanese prefecture of Shiga has arrested a man and two teenagers on October 22 on suspicion of stealing Dragon Ball anime figures — and the vending machine holding the figures. According to the police investigation, Tatsuya Chiyo, a 21-year-old concrete construction worker from Shiga's RittÅ City, and two 16-year-old high school boys from the same city took a vending machinevia Anime New Network
from outside a used bookstore in Mamoyama on July 7. Inside the machine were about 20 figures that sold for 200 yen (about US$2) each. The vending machine itself is worth about 14,000 yen (US$140).
I can't even imagine a Dragonball Z vending machine theft would be considered newsworthy in the U.S. I bet they snagged it for the toys too...
Massive Collection
Check out the guy's Dragon Ball Z collection at 7:08 in this video. His name is Bong Alcantra, and he is a super fan, no doubt about it.

Goku Tribute - Toy Soldiers
I guess this video has been around for a hot second, but I just stumbled upon it the other day. I think it's a great mash up. Eminem's "Toy Soldiers" meets Goku.
Update 10/29 - Looks like they removed the video. I'm guessing that the AMV world now has to deal with copyright issues too.
